Simon & Schuster Canada to Publish Debut Short Story Collection by Maria Mutch

Toronto/ Quill & Quire/ - Simon & Schuster Canada senior editor Laurie Grassi has acquired the Canadian rights to Governor General’s Literary Awards-finalist Maria Mutch’s short story collection, WHEN WE WERE BIRDS, which will appear in 2018. In this startlingly inventive and haunting debut, wolves speak, people vanish, a peregrine turns into a woman, and Red Riding Hood is a feminist.
